365/365
Happy New Years Eve!
And it’s photo #365…the last one for 2010!!
:::breathing a sigh of relief:::
Thoughts:
When I decided to do this project way back in December of 2009, I never thought it would be this challenging. I mean, it’s just taking one picture every day for a year…how hard could that really be? Well, let me tell you, it wasn’t always easy. There were the nights that it was 11:53 p.m. and had 7 minutes to get a picture taken and posted. Then there were the days that I had my picture taken by 9 a.m. and couldn’t wait to post it that night. But somehow, for 365 days, I managed to take one picture and post it by midnight each day. I am going to go ahead and give myself a congratulatory pat on the back.
To those of you thinking about taking on the Project 365…do it! The positive things that I gained from this far outweigh the cons. I got to know my camera better, learned how to do some awesome things with bokeh, realized that you can never have too many pictures of your cat, found myself exploring San Diego more so that I would have an interesting photo to post, and it really pushed me to carry my camera around everywhere I went and take that shot, even if people looked at you like you were crazy. And now I get to look back on 2010 and be reminded of what I did each day! Most of the time, I can’t even remember what I did last night (especially if I was drinking…j/k…sort of), so this is a great way to keep a visual diary of your life.
I will most definitely do this again, but not right away. I need a break from the pressure of posting a picture each day. Thank you to everyone for the encouragement throughout the year. I’m glad that some of you enjoyed taking a look into my life through my camera lens. I was actually surprised at how many of you even bothered to look at the picture each day…but I appreciate it! :)
Now off to enjoy the rest of New Years Eve and listen to some All Liquored Up music down at Hooley’s. Have a safe and happy New Year, Everybody!
